Bureau Veritas is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join our team in Saint-Laurent, QC.
**Your main responsibilities are**:
Oversee the smooth execution of maintenance and repair operations for the facilities.
Provide daily support to internal teams, including handling purchase requests, managing the HVAC system, planning and reorganizing office spaces, coordinating maintenance services, and ensuring secure access management.
Serve as the point of contact between Bureau Veritas and suppliers for contract management related to security, electrical and mechanical equipment, waste disposal and recycling, maintenance, and related services.
Coordinate office and laboratory furniture management as well as space planning.
Perform equipment repairs, including vacuum pumps, motors, and plumbing, and carry out renovation work such as wall construction and painting.
Order and collect necessary supplies for the laboratory and office spaces.
Optimize workspace organization and inventory management.
Operate forklifts to handle warehouse stock.
Clear snow from main entrances and emergency exits during winter months.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Have a college diploma (DEC) or equivalent.
Have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in facilities coordination.
Are customer-oriented, value open communication, have strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
Can work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.
Are detail-oriented and maintain accurate records.
Are dynamic, flexible, and demonstrate sound judgment.
**Work conditions**:
Ability to work in a fast-paced and under pressure environment;
**Physically demanding tasks**: work on your feet for long hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, painting, renovating, and light construction work;
Must be available for overtime and weekend work as needed based on project requirements.
