**Position : EDI Subject Matter Expert (SME)**

**Location : Toronto, Ontario (Onsite from day 1) (hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)**

**Job description**:
**About the Role**:
We are seeking a highly accomplished EDI Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Enterprise Integration practice. In this role, you will leverage your deep EDI expertise to lead and mentor EDI initiatives, provide strategic guidance, and solve complex EDI challenges for our clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of EDI solutions for complex client requirements.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on EDI standards, best practices, and industry trends.
- Architect and design scalable and robust EDI solutions, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate EDI issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain EDI governance frameworks and standards within the organization.
- Mentor and train junior EDI Analysts, fostering knowledge transfer and building a strong EDI practice.
- Stay abreast of evolving EDI technologies and regulations, keeping the team informed.
- Represent the organization at industry events and conferences, sharing expertise and thought leadership.

**Technical Skills Required**:

- Extensive experience (8+ years) as an EDI Analyst, EDI Specialist, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of EDI standards and protocols (e.g., X12, EDIFACT, HIPAA, SWIFT).
- Proven ability to design and implement complex EDI mappings using Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) or IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
- Expertise in EDI translation software and various integration platforms like Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) or IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
- Strong understanding of data governance and security principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Superior communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

**Bonus Points**:

- Proven experience as an EDI SME or Lead in a large organization.
- Experience with cloud-based EDI solutions (e.g., EDI as a Service).
- Experience with API Management tools.
- Proven project management and leadership skills.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
