Honda Marketing Lead

Job Description: The Honda Marketing Lead ensures the Advertising department supports the business goals and targets set out by the Sales Operations Department, and HCI, through the development of strategic planning and execution of Honda auto brands' advertising and marketing. The Marketing Lead ensures these business objectives are achieved through the management of campaign creation and completion by supervision of, partner agency relationships, budgets, programs, and projects while coordinating Honda Canada's marketing to align with and leverage American Honda assets where possible to maximize budget efficiency

RESPONSIBILITIES: *
- Develop and execute the fiscal year marketing strategy overview through coordination with Honda departments (PP, Sales Ops, Media, CRM, PR, Events, Sponsorships) and agencies (creative, DAA, media) including New model launches, Sales volume/retail objectives, Corporate themes/brand messaging, Events, Sponsorships;
- Develop, present, track, and create countermeasures for yearly Advertising objectives using monthly CAPDO reflections and annual business plan exercises;
- Liaise with DAA and partner agencies to create overall creative and media strategy for all media channels to support key activities, launches and sponsorships;
- Develop a strategy for the year to ensure a constant flow of new creative and media opportunity to increase effectiveness or efficiencies;
- Manage the marketing budget for media, productions, digital, and fees;
- Work in conjunction with Zones to achieve regional marketing plans with partner zone agencies. Manage budgets to ensure DAA health;
- Use data and insights to provide adjustments to media plan and/or messaging content to countermeasure gaps to CAPDO or business plan objectives on a monthly basis;
- Work directly with events, Sales Leads and Customer Engagement to support marketing material needs;
- Develop and execute the social media strategy for owned social media channels while overseeing the management, production and reporting of all content/calendars;
- Maximize branding opportunity through Dream Shop products;
- Review and adjust offerings as required twice a year (Spring/Summer Fall/Winter);
- Identify revenue/marketing opportunities.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Diploma in advertising, communication and/or digital marketing, business;
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the role of Advertising Coordinator, advertising agency staff, or other sales experience;
- Budget planning experience;
- Ability to make adjustments to creative strategy to meet production requirements;
- Experience with providing direction to vendors;
- Tactical creative execution/decision making experience and experience delegating within a team;
- Experience with social media strategy and direction;
- Experience with Purchase orders and invoicing;
- Experience with providing direction to vendors;
- Tactical creative execution/decision making experience and experience delegating within a team;
- Experience coordinating with the Senior Manager on a daily basis due to the importance of Honda Brand direction.
