Responsibilities:

- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Conduct surveillance through CCTV systems to detect and prevent security breaches
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the premises
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Able to handle aggressive teenagers
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Security Officer or relevant position
- Must have a Alberta Security License
- Must have a reliable transportation
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques, procedures, and equipment
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and protocols
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in security-related fields are a plus

As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises and the staff members. You will be responsible for monitoring the premises, conducting surveillance, responding to alarms, controlling access points, and providing assistance to customers and employees. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to handle emergency situations will be essential in ensuring a safe environment.

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- security guard: 2 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)

**Location**:

- Edmonton, AB T6A 0A1 (required)
