**About Us**
ProDental Yonge is the first flagship Shair office - our live, provider‑centric education centre where we’re setting the new standard for modern dental care. We’re tech-forward (direct‑to‑provider booking integrated with Curve EHR), hospitality‑minded, and committed to building long‑term relationships with our patients. This clinic is the blueprint for how we scale across Canada.
**The Role**
We’re looking for a CDA II (NDAEB‑certified) Dental Assistant who is organized, proactive, and takes pride in exceptional patient care. You’ll run efficient rooms, maintain the highest standards in sterilization/IPAC, manage supply ordering and inventory, and help us deliver a memorable patient experience—including our Comfort Menu—while collaborating with a tight‑knit clinical team.
**What You’ll Do**
- Set up/turn over operatories with strict clean/dirty zoning and aseptic technique; anticipate provider needs and keep the day flowing.
- Provide chairside assisting for exams, restorative, endo, surgery, and hygiene support as needed; capture diagnostic radiographs (HARP compliant) and intraoral images.
- Deliver our Comfort Menu with care and consent: hydrating lip mask, aromatherapy towels, and a gentle hand massage after treatment when appropriate; chart offers/acceptance in Curve.
- Maintain sterilization excellence per MIFUs: decontaminate, inspect, package (internal/external indicators), sterilize, release, and document (mechanical/CI/BI logs).
- Own supplies end‑to‑end: establish PAR levels, place orders, receive/put‑away, and track lot/expiry (FEFO) to prevent stockouts and waste. Upkeep our digital inventory and ensure that ordering is within our set monthly budget.
- Support imaging and documentation quality in Curve: correct labelling, material lot numbers, and accurate notes.
- Contribute to a positive, calm patient experience; build relationships through clear, empathetic communication. This is essential at our practice and one of our highest priorities; we expect each member of our staff to be willing to go above and beyond to ensure that the patient experience is exceptional.
- Participate in Shair education initiatives (pilots, workflow testing, team training) and help improve our playbooks.
**You’ll Thrive Here If You**
- Are on the ball - organized, punctual, and two steps ahead in the operatory.
- Care deeply about hygiene and sterilization standards and love a well‑run sterilization centre.
- Enjoy conversations and connecting with patients; you’re hospitality‑minded and compassionate.
- Like technology and streamlined workflows; Curve experience is an asset.
- Are a team player who gives and receives feedback well and wants to grow with us.
**Requirements**:
- NDAEB certification (CDA II) and HARP certification (radiography) required.
- Current CPR; strong knowledge of IPAC and reprocessing best practices.
- 1+ year of chairside experience preferred (new grads with strong references welcome).
- Clear, professional communication; PHIPA awareness and discretion with patient information.
Schedule & Start Date
- Part-time with potential to expand to full-time hours, on‑site; typical clinic hours with occasional flexibility for education events.
- Start: As soon as we meet the right person.
Pay & Perks
- Competitive compensation with growth opportunities (lead tracks as we scale).
- CE support and hands‑on learning in a provider‑centric, tech‑forward environment.
- Modern equipment and supportive team culture; downtown location close to transit.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
Work Location: In person
