**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by handing instruments and materials as needed.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring it is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Record patient information accurately in the dental software system, ensuring all medical histories are up to date.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Maintain sterilization of instruments and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive patient experience.

**Experience**
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental receptionist duties being a plus.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology in orthodontics is an asset.
- Exposure to pediatric dentistry will be considered an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are essential.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

Licence/Certification:

- Certified Dental Assistant (required)
