You’ve mastered the art of the tri-clamp and know how to get a pump spinning on a tank CIP. You are focused on the details. From cleanliness to record-keeping and organization to recipe creation, you can have a direct impact on this brewery. You are communicative and easy-going but know what it takes to buckle down and get the job done. Having an education in brewing is highly desired as we are looking to help grow someone in their career as a brewer. **The role** The Brewer role is a permanent, full-time role with a start date as early as March 3, 2025. To begin, the role will be focused on training and learning our operation while familiarizing yourself with our multitude of products. **The day-to-day of a full-time brewer** - Maintain a meticulously clean, organized, visually appealing workplace - Maintain a high standard for cleaning and sanitizing equipment - Working in a safe manner and following PPE guidelines - Cellaring - Keg washing - Keg filling - FV and BBT CIP’s - Carbonating products to spec - Dry hopping and other fermentation additions - Cider production - Utilization of brewery software to track production, inventory, and operations procedures. - Cleaning, cleaning, and cleaning. - Filtration - Centrifuging operation - Operation of lenticular and cartridge filtration - Bag filtration - Wort Production - Production of wort to specifications - Brewhouse CIP - Yeast management - Weekend checklist duties are required to be split between full-time Brewers and Cellar-Technicians. This includes basic mechanical checks and product checks. Paid for minimum of 3 hours. - Other production tasks: - Cleaning, cleaning, and cleaning - Forklift usage with training - Working from heights with Fall Arrest training - Maintenance - Assisting with packaging **Requirements**: - Forklift operation - Ability to lift 25 kg and maneuver heavy items (kegs, hoses, pallets) - PPE (gloves, safety glasses, CSA approved steel toe boots) usage - Working with a fall-arrest harness at heights - Monday to Friday. 8-hour shift. 40 hours/week. Typical schedule is a two week rotation of 06:00-14:00 then 14:00-22:00. - Ability to reliably commute to brewery.
