We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our **Accounting Specialist/Accounts Receivable.**

**Position Summary/Objective**:

- As the Accounting Specialist, Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for performing full cycle accounts receivable - invoicing, collection, credit, reconciliation and banking. The Accounts Receivable Coordinator will also assist the finance department in other areas relating to treasury management, preparing journal entries, assisting in financial reporting and preparing month-end working papers.

The Accounting Specialist, Accounts Receivable plays a critical role in supporting the Finance department to ensure that all accounting processes and documentation are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate and uphold Riverside’s core values
- Reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on past due accounts
- Prepare we weekly AR gaining schedule with commentary on he status of aged items to be presented to the Assistant Controller and Shared Services Team Lead.
- Reconcile receipts to sales invoices and to the accounts receivable schedule
- Deposit cash receipts
- Compute adjustments to invoices, such as manufacturer charge-backs, sales discounts and promotional items
- Issue Credit notes or invoice corrections as required
- Support in the preparation of month-end and year-end working papers
- Data entry of financial transactions into SAP
- Maintain customer files
- Assist in other finance duties as required
- Keeps the work atmosphere** FUN** by keeping it light and welcoming
- Other duties as assigned

**Reporting Relationships**

The Accounting Specialist, Accounts Receivable reports to the Accounting Team Lead

**Education & Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business or a related field
- Achievement or working toward an accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
- Related work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of business processes
- Familiarity with accounting software packages, including SAP

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Able to work efficiently and take **OWNERSHIP** to manage deadlines in a fast-paced business environment

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; good mathematical skills
- ** PASSIONATE** with a positive attitude with a desire to learn and collaborate

- Demonstrates **HUMILITY** throughout the company on a daily basis
- Aptitude to exhibit, **RESPECT** and protect Riverside’s Core Values in a changing environment
- Strong computer skills, intermediate level or above for Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel and Outlook
