**Concrete Foreman - ARCP**

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling and blasting, pipe and underground utility, concrete placement and asphalt paving. We are currently looking to hire an experienced Concrete Foreman to join our growing team. We have lots of exciting projects on the go and coming up soon in the HRM area Reporting to the Superintendent and Project Management Team, this position is responsible for directing and managing all on-site construction workers and equipment, enforcing the company’s directions, policies, procedures, and safety standards, while meeting construction deadlines.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of concrete experience.
- 2-3 years of construction supervision experience preferred.
- Able to work in a team environment and provide guidance to your crew.
- In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Class 5 license required.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Foremen are responsible to lead and direct people, equipment, and resources on ARCP construction sites.
- Engage in open communication with the Superintendent and Project Managers and report any issues that could affect the project.
- Organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Perform daily field level hazard assessments, inspections, and regular toolbox meetings.
- Read and interpret project plan and specifications.
- Ability to understand rough or fine grade finishing plans.
- Support grading, leveling, and manual curb finishing when needed.
- Maintain and restore various curbs, sidewalks, etc.
- Preparing surfaces for concrete placement.
- Building, installing and removing concrete forms.
- Mixing, pouring and spreading concrete.
- Pouring, shoveling, grading and smoothing concrete.
- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete.
- Other duties as required.
