Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in heavy civil excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. We are currently looking to hire individuals interested in furthering their career in the construction industry. Working with our Pipe Crew, under the direct supervision of a Foreman, you will assist with day to day on site activities to learn the full scope underground water & sewer pipe operations, with the goal of training to become a Lead Hand. We are looking for someone who has proven to be reliable, hardworking, takes initiative and consistently tries to improve their own performance at work. No previous supervisory experience required, however previous experience working in construction is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily inspection of tools and equipment.
- Complete a large variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour.
- Lay water & sewer pipes in the ground.
- Ensure company equipment is operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.
- Daily involvement in safety conscious activities and tailgate meetings.
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by the Foreman.
- Learning how to operate a wide variety of heavy equipment
- Communicate effectively with the Foreman and other team members.
- Other various construction related activities as instructed.

**Requirements**:

- Valid drivers licence and/or reliable transportation to and from the worksite required.
- 2-3 years of experience working in a construction setting.
- A positive attitude and safety conscious outlook towards work.
- Reliable, punctual & organized.
- Experience operating heavy equipment considered an asset but not required.
- Strong attention to detail.
