_The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region._
The Regional Board wishes to fill the following temporary assignment:
**DESCRIPTION**
Reporting to the Director of Public Health and under the supervision of the Infectious Diseases Coordinator, the Administrative Technician will provide secretarial and clerical support to members of the Infectious Diseases team. He/she will be assigned to any other tasks as requested by the coordinator.
The incumbent will be responsible for thematic files in infectious diseases, mainly reportable diseases (MADO) and sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (ITSS). She will be responsible for data entry into MADO systems (regional and provincial). She will also be responsible for appropriate filing and archiving in Quebec City office or electronic archives.
In addition, she may be called upon to take on the following tasks: immunization, surveillance and control of respiratory viruses (SCVR), infection prevention and control (IPC), tuberculosis and overdoses.
Your responsibilities also include to:
- Reportable diseases (MADO) data entry and archiving;
- Participate in various meetings;
- Fill in for other administrative technicians on the MI team;
- Carry out any other tasks requested by the coordination team.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Must hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in general administration, accounting and management techniques, office automation techniques or another appropriate college discipline from a school recognized by the appropriate ministry, or a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) combined with a relevant undergraduate university certificate, or a relevant Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) of eight hundred hours or more combined with experience relevant to the field in question;
- Relevant experience of at least three (3) years in a similar position;
- Fluency in two of the three languages spoken and written in Nunavik (French, English, Inuktitut);
- Excellent knowledge of the Office suite;
- Strong teamwork and priority management skills;
- Minutia, dynamism and flexibility;
- Experience working in Nunavik or a remote region is considered an asset.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Temporary full-time assignment (35 h/week) for 3 years;
- Telecommuting position based in Quebec City;
- Occasional travel to Nunavik, if required by the team.
Employees of the health and social services network are potentially eligible for the northern leave without pay.
