We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist (8 Month Term) to join us in the exciting work we do in Enterprise Sourcing (Supply Chain) Department. The Sourcing Specialist lead enterprise strategic sourcing strategies for goods and services as part of the broader centralized corporate procurement team. This role applies strategic sourcing and category management principles, tools, and techniques to align company goals, business plans, and internal customer objectives, demonstrating ATCOs spend and global footprint to procure the best value for the business.
**What You Get To Do**:
Single point of contact for departments with enterprise-wide scope, intake of their procurement requests, sourcing vendors, contract development & creation, and purchase order management.
Identifies Category opportunities while, seeking potential cost savings/avoidance, value increase, customer service improvement, operational efficiencies, optimizations, and risk mitigation.
Responsible for the development and execution of category strategies for all spend categories within their accountability.
Facilitates engagement with cross functional partners to define business requirements and ensure alignment with category strategy, timelines, and priorities.
Conducts competitive bidding (RFI, RFQ, RFP), vendor negotiations, contracts and purchase order creation and management.
Incorporation of best in class procure to pay processes, contract management principles, compliance management practices, and opportunities to increase innovation.
Performs market research, and spend / cost modeling analysis to inform sourcing and negotiation strategies.
While predominantly a “pre-award” sourcing role, we are moving to a category management module where there will be more focus on contract administration &/or management functions to leverage agreements for effective vendor management and development.
Identifies improvements and innovations with vendors that will advance ATCO’s business initiatives.
Conducts regular vendor reviews to drive strategic cost management initiatives, in collaboration with internal customers and Operational Procurement.
Reports findings related to vendor performance and works with them to improve performance and/or resolves differences between vendor offerings and the needs of the internal customer.
Performs other duties as assigned.
**Who You Are**:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Commerce, or equivalent required.
7+ years diversified procurement or supply chain management experience.
3+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing/category management.
SCMP is preferred.
Experience in a category management (data analytics, market research cost, demand modeling, procurement planning, strategic sourcing, competitive RFx development and management, contract execution and contract management) is preferred.
Experience in the following categories and/or industries; Construction Services, Engineering, Fleet Vehicles and/or Facility Services.
Knowledge and proficiency working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc).
Proficiency in data analytics methodologies and techniques.
Experience with energy or manufacturing related Industries is preferred.
Excellent business and strategic goal setting, critical thinking, decision-making and problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong research skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of the competitive bidding process, scope writing, contract law, evaluation strategies, negotiations, Service Level Agreements, and Key Performance Indicators.
Experience in providing leadership and coaching for a cross-functional team.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of RFx methods and approaches.
Strong ability to identify risks and mitigation strategies in procurement processes.
Excellent digital literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Ability to help lead change in the organization towards the efficient and effective delivery of Supply Chain services and functions.
Ability to excel in a high-paced working environment.
