CAT Parts Sourcing Specialist

As a CAT Parts Sourcing Specialist, you'll manage end-to-end procurement functions, validate supply constraints, research alternative solutions, and implement sourcing strategies to improve parts availability and reduce downtime for customers.Job Description:
- Order parts from Caterpillar and non-Cat suppliers to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor stock, consolidate emergency orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Expedite emergency orders considering vendor timelines, transportation, and costs.
- Investigate inventory issues and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with branches, planners, and supply chain teams to resolve constraints.
- Provide backup support during high-volume periods or absences.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company policies while representing Finning professionally.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Order parts from Caterpillar and non-Cat suppliers to meet customer delivery requirements.

Requirements:
- 3+ years combined experience in either a post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain, related field or relevant job experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with heavy equipment is an asset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel) and experience with MRP systems (Lawson preferred).
Important:
- Based out of our Edmonton head office.
- Temporary, full time role for 6 months.
- Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
