**Job Description**:
The Allied Health Services (AHS) team, under Professional Practice consists of Regulated Healthcare Professional including: Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Social Work, Registered Dietitians, Respiratory Therapy, as well as unregulated Rehabilitation Assistants. Each discipline is focused on driving evidence informed practice to promote high quality patient and family centered care.

The team has a professional practice leader (PPL) model for each regulated allied health discipline which promotes and enhances the interprofessional team. Each discipline has their own PPL with dedicated time to enhance their communities of practice, represent their respective disciplines at committees, create policies & procedures and lead corporate level initiatives.

We are currently seeking a **temporary part time (0.4FTE)** **Rehabilitation Assistant** until approximately January 2026 to support our outpatient stroke program.
- Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent **required**:

- **Rehabilitation Assistant Program Diploma**; dual trained OTA/PTA program certification - **required**

You will be a great fit for this position if you have:

- Strong interpersonal communication skills, focusing on patient centered care
- OTA/PTA experience in the outpatient stroke setting
- Knowledge of the use and purpose of therapeutic modalities for inpatient care settings
- Understanding of proper exercise techniques specific to neuro rehabilitation
- Safe and effective patient transfer techniques specific to neuro rehabilitation
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work successfully within an interprofessional team
