**About the Medical Imaging Department**

As a member of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) alongside University Health Network and Women’s College Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department, offers a cutting-edge environment for advanced clinical practice, teaching, and research. Renowned internationally for excellence in medical imaging, we perform a high volume exams for diverse patient populations from the Emergency Department to outpatients and inpatients. The department features state-of-the-art technology and a team of innovative professionals dedicated to patient care.

**In this role you will**:

- Supervise, organize, assign, and distribute workload among assigned staff to ensure the department operates in a manner that is efficient, volume and outcome responsive
- Coach and mentor assigned staff to foster a positive atmosphere to support team building, collaboration and shared learning
- Perform administrative responsibilities to facilitate processes/procedures improvement in an efficient, effective work environment
- Maintain a system for detecting, documenting, and reporting discrepancies/errors; take appropriate actions as required
- Oversee financial responsibilities for assigned cost centers, including reporting and correcting discrepancies and preparing variance reports
- Anticipate impacts of change on quality assurance procedures and initiate timely adaptations to ensure quality control is maintained
- Participate in professional development, teaching/educational activities, safety and quality improvement programs to ensure excellence in the provision of service

- Job Requirements

**Job Requirements**:
Mandatory
- Completion or Intent to complete the Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer course (MRSO)
- Completion of a recognized post diploma program in area of responsibility, i.e., MRI program (MRT)
- Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
- 5 years recent related MRI experience
- Current Registration with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)

Preferred
- Previous project management experience
- Previous leadership experience

Skills and Knowledge
- Working knowledge of financial systems and processes within the Medical Imaging Department
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
