Industrial Move Supervisor

Located in Scarborough, ON., TOTAL Transportation Solutions Inc., is a **specialized mover** **providing final mile, white glove** moving services. This includes **lift and rigging services** to move computers, electronics, sensitive machines, HVAC, high end medical systems such as CT, MRI and LINAC, fine arts and large sculptures. This is both a very rewarding and often challenging job that offers something different every day.

We are **seeking a dedicated and organized leader** with a positive, can-do attitude to guide and supervise our move crews. Main job involves site inspections, estimating, planning and oversee the move. This is a hands-on position requiring you to be on site as part of the crew. Job can also involve stair carries, crane hoisting, rigging on site, light assembly and disassembly, and fine tune placement. There are various **opportunities to travel within Canada** on some relocation and installation projects.

**Duties**:

- Coordinate all phases of the moving process.
- Communicate with clients to understand their specific needs.
- Perform site inspections, quoting and move planning with support of Sales.
- Develop move schedule and job execution with the support of Operations.
- Supervise and lead the move crew on move day(s).
- Ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols while on site.
- Address any issues that arise during the move promptly and professionally.
- Immediately communicate issues with Operations or Management as needed.
- Meet with customer to confirm their satisfaction before leaving the job site.
- Maintain daily communications with Sales and Management teams.
- Support the needs of the customer and the demands of the business.
- Share your feedback with a focus on continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in project management or crew supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional attitude with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
- Proficiency in using software and working with tools.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Able to positively motivate and lead move crews.
- Comfortable working from heights when needed.
- Experience in the moving industry.
- Experience with rigging and hoisting.

Other Points:

- Extra consideration for those with an AZ license.
- Experience operating telehandlers and rigging knowledge, a benefit.
- Ability to travel and be away from home for up to 1 week at a time.

Must Haves:

- Clean criminal background.
- Able to pass random drug and alcohol testing.
- Proven industry experience.

Company vehicle may also be included in the employment package. This will depend on the successful applicants experience and added value to the company. There is an opportunity to advance from this position within the company.

Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Industrial Moving: 6 years (preferred)
- Crew Supervision: 6 years (required)
- Rigging or Hoisting : 6 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- French (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- AZ or Class 1 License (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
