MSO Construction and Ontario Pavement Products Group - subsidiaries of The Miller Group, are looking to hire Traffic Control People for various locations within Ontario. Willingness to travel away from home with crews for extended periods of time is required.

As a Traffic Control Person, You Will:

- Protect workers in the construction zone by directing and controlling traffic using approved signage
- Give traffic control directions and signals clearly and precisely so that motorists and pedestrians understand their meaning and are safety directed around the construction site
- Set up and takedown work zones
- Respond to questions from members of the public regarding traffic direction, alternate routes, and driving directions in a professional manner
- Keep the flow of traffic moving with as few delays as possible
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
- Ensure safety of fellow employees and general public
- Notify supervisors of unsafe or changing scenarios
- Performing other related duties as required

What You'll Bring:

- Previous construction experience will be considered an asset
- Ability to cope with regular hazards in a construction environment - inclement weather, dust, noise etc.
- Valid Driver’s licence with a clean Driver’s abstract
- Must have daily access to a vehicle in order to support the travel requirements of this position
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the work as manual labour is required to complete these tasks, such as lift up to 23 kg/50lbs, stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
- Communicate effectively and exercise tact and diplomacy while interacting with members of the public
- Have an OSSD or equivalent diploma
- Punctual and reliable
- Effective team player - able to build relationships and mutual respect with fellow employees
- Willingness to travel for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work extended hours, days, nights, and weekends as assigned

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
