**Opening Statement**
The R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home is a Long-Term Care Home to 136 Residents and employs 250 staff in various Departments.
The Food Services Supervisor reports to and assists the Director of Environmental & Food Services in the day-to-day supervision of staff, including assignment of staff and the arranging for replacement when required.
**Education, Training, and Experience**
- Must have a Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License
- Good physical health (physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend; ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs).
- Grade 12 Education, minimum 2-5 years’ experience in food services in a health care facility. Experience in supervision in a health care facility preferred but not required.
- Computer knowledge - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook would be an asset
- Good Organizational & Time Management Skills
- Experience with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) or willing to obtain
- Food Handler Certification (NS) or willing to obtain
**Hours of Work**
Permanent Full Time
Hours - Flexible 7 am-3 pm or 9 am - 5 pm with weekend shifts.
**Salary**
$25/hr. ($52, 000 Annual) Breaks and Lunch paid
Subject to a Probation Period or Trail Period
