**Opening Statement**
The R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home is a Long-Term Care Home to 136 Residents and employs 250 staff in various Departments.
The General Worker (HSK/Laundry) Supervisor reports to and assists the Director of Environmental Services in the day-to-day supervision of staff, including assignment of staff and the arranging for replacement when required as well as ordering and replenishment of Housekeeping and Nursing supplies.
**Education, Training, and Experience**
- Must have a Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License
- Knowledge of housekeeping and nursing supplies and the ability to order and deliver to care areas.
- Good physical health (physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend; ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs).
- Grade 12 Education, minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a long-term care or a health care facility. Experience in supervision in a long-term care or a health care facility preferred but not required.
- Computer knowledge - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Good Organizational Skills & Time Management Skills

Temporary Full Time
**Salary**
$19.4754-$19.7729 per current contract rate (based on experience)
**Subject to a Probation Period or Trail Period** (as per Unifor Collective Agreement)
