**Position**:
The Program Manager, Demand Response (DR) will manage the Demand Response portfolio. This position will have the goal of achieving installed DR capacity targets across several facility types in Nova Scotia. This is a new position, operated under the brand Efficiency Nova Scotia.
***A snapshot of what you will be involved with**:
At the design and development stage, the Program Manager will_ _be the project lead assigned to developing the respective DR initiatives. This position will have the responsibility of developing initiatives and conducting pre-implementation work. Support will be given by other members of the project team.
- Develop materials, designs, and other infrastructure associated with the launch including:
- Complete program design with support from Engineering & Planning
- Develop a communications plan with assistance from Customer Experience & Partnership
- Communicate design and schedule risks to the Project Manager
- Participate in procurement activities such as selection of program vendor, developing a scope of work, evaluation, and selection of the successful proponent
- Complete contract negotiations with the successful vendor
- At the program delivery stage, following the design and delivery stage, the Program Manager will:_
- Getting feedback from organizations already involved with Demand Response
- Working with operators, managers, consultants, and building owners to identify potential installation sites, facilitate installation, and prioritize areas of highest potential interest/uptake.
- Facilitate the completion of required feasibility studies or assessments.
- Directing activities such as incentives being paid; tracking completed installations and targets; handling client issues; developing and maintaining program manual, logic model, and evaluation plan; supporting evaluation processes, and reviewing results of the program evaluation where applicable.
- Maintaining a detailed database of participant information including but not limited to participant contact information, site & equipment details, and costs.
- Supporting the Marketing and Communications team in the development of outreach and marketing strategies and materials.
- Working with other Efficiency Nova Scotia programs to cross-promote and encourage uptake.
- Adjusting program as necessary to meet program targets, within budget.
- Managing, monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling spending.
- Reporting on and forecasting results and status.
- Working with government, oversight bodies, utilities, etc. as needed.
- Coordinating with the Engineering and Planning department
**Skills & Attributes**:
- ** **Experience in energy efficiency, demand response, or associated rebate program management, including planning, designing, and executing these programs.
- Knowledge of demand response and associated technologies/solutions.
- Experience working with building managers/operators, consultants, and/or owners would be considered an asset.
- Experience reviewing, facilitating, or completing scoping studies and/or feasibility studies would be considered an asset.
- Attention to detail, customer focus, time management skills, and excellent oral communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, take initiative and handle multiple tasks, and work to a high standard in an environment with tight timelines/deadlines.
- Ability to work in a hectic and results-orientated environment.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
**Experience & Education**:
- ** ** A bachelor’s degree, diploma in Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Other relevant professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager, Certified Measurement and Verification professional would be considered an asset
