Qualifications:

- Graduate of a recognized post secondary secretarial/administration program (equivalent related experience may be considered)
- Minimum one year recent related secretarial experience, preferably in a related environment.
- Successful completion of a Medical Terminology course or related experience
- Accurate keyboarding of 50 wpm and good proof reading skills.
- Proficient in dicta-typing or willing to learn dicta-typing and proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel)
- Excellent filing, records management and statistical skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Medical Terminology required.
- Good knowledge of Anatomical Pathology medical terminology is an asset.
- Knowledge of laboratory workflow preferred
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent phone manner and customer service skills
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to organize workload in a busy environment
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task simultaneous demands.
- Satisfactory attendance record.
