**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Supervision and Team Support**
- Supervise and support a team of 8-10 staff, including Women’s Program Coordinators, Children’s Program Coordinators, and other programming staff.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide performance feedback, and ensure team alignment with organizational goals.

**Leadership and Staff Development**
- Provide strong leadership to the program team, promoting a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous learning.
- Foster an environment where staff are supported and empowered to take initiative.
- Actively contribute to staff development through coaching, mentoring, and growth opportunities.

**Collaboration on Cultural Programming**
- Work closely with the Indigenous Relations Coordinator to integrate cultural programming into case planning and resident support.
- Ensure programs are culturally sensitive and aligned with SOFIA House’s commitments to Indigenous communities and TRC mandates.

**Collaboration on Housing Initiatives**
- Partner with the Community Outreach Worker on the Avana Empowerment third-stage housing program.
- Provide oversight and ensure seamless integration of housing initiatives with program strategies.

**Program Oversight**
- Oversee individual and group programming, with a focus on Women’s and Children’s Programs.
- Ensure the quality of mental health and addiction support services.
- Collaborate on cultural initiatives and maintain consistent program delivery across all areas.

**Operational Management**
- Manage daily operations, including landlord and housing maintenance forsecond-stage housing, rental record keeping, and facility safety.
- Oversee staff scheduling, recruitment, and training to ensure effective staffing levels.
- Handle financial management, including budgeting and record-keeping, ensuring compliance and accountability.

**Community Liaison**
- Act as a liaison with key partners, such as the Ministry of Social Services and Ministry of Justice.
- Represent SOFIA House in external meetings and foster collaboration on shared initiatives.

**Data Collection and Program Evaluation**
- Lead efforts in data collection and program evaluation for staffing, residents, and services.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to monitor program effectiveness and inform future decisions.

**Executive Director Coverage**
- Provide coverage for the Executive Director role as needed, including decision-making and leadership responsibilities.

**Additional Duties**
- Perform other duties as required to support the effective operation and strategic goals of SOFIA House.

**Qualifications**
- A degree in social work, human services, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in leadership or program management, ideally in a non-profit or shelter setting.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and harm reduction approaches.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous advocacy and cultural programming, including TRC mandates.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
