**Transportation Operations Manager**

We are offering a career position to the right kind of individual who is interested in trucking and works well in a fast paced environment.

Edmundson Transport is a flat-bed trucking company focused on providing excellent and reliable service. In transportation, there are countless factors that threaten our day-to-day success and we require an Operations Manager who is ready to troubleshoot, plan, and execute solutions with confidence.
- Organizational skills to dispatch drivers and route trucks to make efficient use of all our assets.
- Problem-solving skills to reorganize a dispatch schedule when disruptions occur.
- Mechanical skills to understand the maintenance requirements of trucks and trailers.
- Organizational skills to manage all incoming paperwork from drivers, parts suppliers, mechanics, etc.
- Social skills to represent the company well when coordinating work with our regular client base.
- Computer skills to work with excel spreadsheets and our custom database.

The Operations Manager will also be expected to:

- Find work using web-based load boards and coordinate with third-party logistics companies.
- Maintain continual correspondence with deployed drivers.
- Update maintenance records, trailer locations, demurrage tracking.
- Keep customers apprised of pickup times, delivery times, and on-site waiting time.
- Be willing to take calls outside of normal business hours and troubleshoot any problems.

We are looking for someone who can plan well and think systematically. Equally important is a good attitude, flexibility, and a positive outlook.

We are offering pay commensurate with experience. Benefits are available after three months.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift

- On occasion, are you able to assist with the physical aspects of flatbed transport like load securement, picking up parts, etc.?

**Experience**:

- Transportation Management: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)
- DZ (preferred)
- AZ (preferred)
