**Role Overview**:
As a Transport Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting PIFL’s operational and customer service excellence by ensuring the safe, compliant, and timely transportation of industrial fluids and related materials. Reporting directly to the Logistics Coordinator, this role requires a safety-first mindset, a strong commitment to regulatory compliance, and a professional approach to representing PIFL in every customer interaction.

**Your First 90 Days**:
**First 30 Days: Orientation and Integration**

Complete PIFL’s structured onboarding program, including Health & Safety training, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification review, and equipment operation orientation. Shadow experienced team members to understand transport protocols, client site requirements, and loading/unloading procedures. Familiarize yourself with delivery routes, documentation processes, and regulatory compliance standards. Demonstrate understanding of PIFL’s expectations for vehicle care, documentation accuracy, and customer communication.

**Next 30 Days: Building Your Foundation**

Begin conducting supervised deliveries to PIFL customers, ensuring compliance with transport regulations and company protocols. Accurately complete all required shipping, delivery, and compliance documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues. Participate in ongoing safety meetings and best practice sharing.

**Following 30 Days: Driving Results**

Independently manage assigned deliveries, ensuring on-time, safe, and professional transport services. Consistently meet all regulatory compliance requirements, including vehicle inspections, TDG documentation, and load securement. Provide exceptional service at delivery sites, reinforcing PIFL’s reputation for reliability and professionalism. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in transport operations and safety.

**Success Metrics for the First 90 Days and Beyond**:
At PIFL, we value measurable results and clear expectations. Your performance will be evaluated based on:

- Successful completion of onboarding, including certifications and training programs.
- Delivery timeliness, accuracy, and customer satisfaction scores.
- Consistent adherence to Transport Canada regulations, PIFL policies, and safe driving practices.
- Accurate and timely completion of shipping and delivery documentation.
- Positive feedback from customers, colleagues, and supervisors regarding professionalism and communication.
- Contribution to continuous improvement initiatives within the Logistics and Operations teams.

By the end of your first 90 days, you will have demonstrated the ability to independently manage transportation duties, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to PIFL’s operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate company vehicles to transport industrial fluids and products to customer locations and internal facilities.
- Load, secure, and unload materials in accordance with Transport Canada regulations, TDG requirements, and company procedures.
- Conduct and document pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and cargo.
- Complete all required shipping documents, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and compliance paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and care of assigned vehicles, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
- Communicate proactively with the Logistics Coordinator regarding route updates, delays, or concerns.
- Adhere strictly to safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Represent PIFL professionally during all customer interactions, reinforcing the company's commitment to excellence and service.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including loading and unloading when required.
- Participate actively in safety meetings, incident investigations, and training sessions.
- Undertake additional responsibilities that align with PIFL’s Mission, Vision, and Values, supporting the company’s growth and excellence.

**Requisites**:

- Valid Ontario AZ driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification preferred (training provided if necessary).
- Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the transportation of industrial goods or hazardous materials.
