In this role you will be a valued member of the Dawson Group, working in the permanent, full-time position of **Systems Analyst**, reporting to the **Director of Information Technology**. The role will provide the successful applicant with an in-depth understanding of Road Maintenance operations, hands-on app and automation development, and experience building Business Intelligence / analytics solutions. Your base location will be **Kamloops, BC** and will require some travel throughout our great province.

**WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE**
- Gain an understanding of existing Dawson Road Maintenance business processes and identify opportunities to improve them through the aid of technology solutions
- Assist business stakeholders in identifying opportunities for technology-assisted process improvements
- Effectively analyze multiple available solution alternatives, risks, and benefits for a range of potential solutions - provide recommendations based on analysis
- Assist with the development of digital / software solutions using low-code platforms such as:

- o ProntoForms
- o Microsoft Power Automate for data manipulation and routing
- o Microsoft Power Apps for business end-user interaction with data
- Develop and manage business reports and dashboards from electronically-gathered data using Microsoft Power BI
- Provide occasional Quality Assurance / systems validation to ensure developed software and systems integrations are behaving as intended
- Administer, sustain and enhance business systems to respond to bug reports, updates or evolving user needs
- Provide deskside support for basic IT issues with Dawson Road Maintenance staff

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Undergraduate degree in Computing Science or related discipline (recent graduate preferred)
- Software and/or systems development
- Experience with Python, Javascript or related scripting/development languages
- Experience with databases, designing and building data models, and developing analytics / reports
- Familiarity with Microsoft’s Power Platform would be considered a strong asset
- Knowledge in app development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Keen technical aptitude, ability to pick things up quickly
- Innovation at heart - a desire to find new and better ways of doing things
- Attention to detail and an eye for quality
- Communication skills working with business stakeholders and technology team members
