Acara Solutions seeks **Brake Press Operators** in **Brampton, ON**.

**Pay: $25.11 - $28.58/hr.**

**Hours: 40 hours/week.**

**Length: Direct Placement.**
- The Brake Press Operator will set up and operate the brake to bend, notch, punch, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal to blueprint or sketch specifications to support production.
- The Brake Press Operator will report directly to the Team Lead or Production Supervisor.
- Perform set-ups and die changes, when necessary, by the job.
- Work with steel 1.5mm to 30mm thick.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to produce various configurations.
- Measures and verifies dimensions of the workpiece.
- Interpret precise measuring instruments and measure parts for proper specification.
- Check the product for the correct shape, dimension, and specifications.
- Perform quality inspection for all parts and components produced by ensuring correct sizes, flatness, and tolerances for the Customer.
- Completion of work orders necessary for the shift promptly, following the correct order schedule.
- Grind laps or burrs may be necessary from the edges of the workpiece.
- Ensure packaging is appropriately set up as specified by the Customer (if necessary).
- Document completed work.
- Clean and lubricate equipment as necessary.
- Follow strict quality control procedures.

**Required Skills / Qualifications**:

- High school Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Metal Fabrication.
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating overhead crane equipment.

**Salary**: $28.58 per hour

**Experience**:

- Brake Press: 1 year (required)
