**Job Description**:
We are a seeking an experienced Benefits Coordinator to provide technical and administrative support for the Benefits and RSP programs. The main responsibilities of this position will be administering the processes related to Benefits and RSP program at the corporate level with support and direction from the Total Rewards Manager.
**This is a permanent position based in our Sherwood Park or Calgary corporate office.**
**What would you be doing?**
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, dental and vision, life insurance, and wellness benefits and RSPs.
- Participates in HR/Payroll project work, such as the development of new initiatives for a unit, division, or the organization (ie. New benefit offers).
- Assists with or leads in compiling data and generating various reports as requested or assigned (ie. Benefit program use).
- Contributes to the improvement of programs, provides insights, reviews delivery and administration challenges.
- Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs.
- Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Assist Manager in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans.
- Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
- Assist Manager in completing benefits reporting requirements.
**Does this sound like you?**
- 1-2 years of benefits administration experience.
- College diploma, certificate in Canadian Benefit Plans, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist or equivalent considered an asset.
- Competent and knowledgeable with computer software like Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint and HRIS platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefit plans and group RSPs.
- Must demonstrate a collaborative attitude when working with members of own team and others.
- Competent with organizational techniques and skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize work, meet deadlines and achieve desired results.
- Basic knowledge and competence with business units, operations and services.
