We are a growing organization and currently looking for a passionate and motivated Maintenance Person to join our winning team.
Employment Type: Full Time
Shift: Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm & Rotating/On-call Weekend Shifts
Facility: Moncton Facility
Under the responsibility of the Chief Engineer, the maintenance worker will work in collaboration with the operations team to plan the material resources to perform maintenance, preventive and corrective tasks. In addition, the individual must ensure collaboration with the suppliers responsible for providing the requested service. Also, they will have to validate, in collaboration with, the Chief Engineer, the quality of the work by the suppliers.
** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
The maintenance person will also have to perform technical work on the floor such as:
- Maintenance, repair of various carpentry, plumbing, maintenance of garage doors, lubrication of dock levelers, general maintenance of the building, etc.
- Maintenance work on the cold store (ice removal on the freezer ceilings for the safety of the premises with the use of an articulated basket truck).
- After-hours (as required), weekend work, and scheduled on call hours are required
**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant experience in refrigeration and a building/warehouse maintenance environment
- Strong mutual aid and consultation skills, as well as, the ability to work alone or in a team and have strong communication skills.
- Have completed a DEP in a field of study related to the position OR any other relevant experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in an equipment management maintenance department
- Ability to work in a cold environment (-25 C)
- Skyjack/ Articulated boom lift qualification (considered an asset and **we offer training**)
- Strong sense of responsibility, rigor and autonomy
- Ability to perform manual work and sometimes physically demanding
- Strong mutual aid and consultation skills as well as an excellent ability to work in a team and to communicate
- Ability to make do with available resources
- Good ability to manage time and priorities
- Knowledge of English both orally and in writing
- Proficiency Microsoft office and Outlook
