We seek excellent students, faculty, and staff to join us in what has become known as the "Western Experience" - an opportunity to contribute to a better world through the development of new knowledge, new abilities, new connections, and new ways to make a difference. **About Us**: **Responsibilities**: The Business Foundations Department at Ivey Business School has limited, part-time appointment contracts available for Markers for the following case method courses: Business 1220E, an introductory course in business; Business 1299E, a required course in business for UWO engineering students; Business 2257, the prerequisite for the HBA program. The Marker will be responsible for marking and grading a variety of written work completed by students, including assignments, projects, midterms, and final exams. The incumbent will evaluate the students' work in accordance with the marking guidelines, provide corrections and feedback, and submit grades for review based on specific guidelines from the Instructor. The incumbent may be required to submit written feedback to students based on the quality of work received, and may make time for scheduled consultations with the instructor. Applications are invited from individuals who have successfully completed Business 1220/1299 or Business 2257. Contracts will be active during the 2025-26 academic year, with the last expected engagement in April 2026. **Qualifications**: Eligibility Requirement: - Must be registered in, or completed a program, within the department - Previous marking experience preferred Skills, Abilities & Expertise: - Attention to detail and proofreading abilities with an excellent command of the English language - Communication skills to convey information and feedback in a clear and effective manner - Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality standards - Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach to work - Ability to prioritize and organize a fluctuating work load **Why Western?**: Consideration of applicants will include an assessment of previous performance, experience, and qualifications.
