**Position: Inventory Control Specialist**

Vesta Marble and Granite, is seeking a full-time inventory control specialist who will be focused on slab order entries, maintaining inventory accuracy, both physically and systemically by monitoring, validating, and tracking inventory moves associated with all processes.
Identifying, resolving order issues, and escalating inventory discrepancies while striving to continuously improve procedures and processes. Developing, and reviewing inventory reports, updating managers on the status of orders, and problem-solving for solutions as required. Additionally, they will be required to analyze data and provide recommendations and summaries to Management.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Collaborate with Management across company networks to implement and maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure forecast accuracy.
- Review daily inventory reports, investigate inventory variances, report any issues and, if necessary, determine root cause and recommend corrective action.
- Process full inventory counts for all slabs and remnants.
- Ensure month end reporting is processed in a timely manner.
- Communicate and facilitate customs queries with Vendors on an as needed basis.
- Assist in developing and monitoring processes to ensure both retail and commercial orders are met on time and with accuracy.
- Analyze carrier performance to requirements and exceptions; provide fact-based suggestions for cost and service improvements.
- Report inventory control activity and performance results as further defined by your manager and customer service level agreements.
- Identify, collaborate, and implement continuous inventory level improvement.
- Participate in inventory or special projects as required.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
- A detail-oriented self-starter with prior experience in the construction industry and/or family
- owned business (nice to have)
- Someone who exhibits sound judgment with the ability to prioritize and make decisions (required)
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas (required)
- A team player capable of cultivating productive working relationships across the organization (required)
- Resourceful, can-do attitude (required)
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment

**Skillset and background**:

- Post-secondary education preferred (Nice to have)
- Fluent in English (required)
- 2+ years’ inventory control or a related role
- Experience dealing with US/International Customs will be considered an asset
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and inventory control system.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to meet required deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
