**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**JOB TITLE: CNC MACHINIST (BORING MILL OPERATOR)**

**REPORTS TO: MACHINING MANAGER**

**JOB FUNCTION**:
In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the **CNC Machinist (**_B_**_oring Mill Operator)_** is responsible for programming and operating a Boring Mill machine to build tools using engineering work orders as a blueprint for SyBridge Technologies. Reporting to the **Machining Manager**, the **CNC Machinist (**_Boring Mill Operator)_** ensures quality is a priority each and every time while also achieving time allowances for each job assigned.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**On a daily basis**:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables;
- Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools;
- Machine mold plates and 2D on cores and cavity’s;
- Use provided tools and machinery, perform finishing and semi-finishing techniques using a Lemoine software;
- Pit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance;
- Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments;
- Set up and adjust production machinery based on engineering requests;
- Assist in the repair of machine tools and parts, as needed;
- Review and document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances;
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs using provided paper and/or electronic logs.

**As required**:

- Responsible for maintaining safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Responsible for maintaining the equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.;
- Participate in required meetings and training, as requested.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
**EDUCATION**
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.

**EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE**
- Three (3) years of related experience operating a boring mill.
- Three (3) years’ experience programming (Lemoine software is preferred).
- Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required.
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills.
- Proficient in time management and communication skills.
