**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist children with neurodiversity on their daily online courses (Language Arts, Math, Socials, and Science) up to a grade 9 level
- Support classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to individual needs.
- Utilize effective communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff members.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students, helping them engage with learning materials and participate in classroom discussions.
- Provide lunch hour supervision and afternoon support during extracurricular activities, which will include driving a maximum of 5 children to their afternoon activities and supporting them in that setting
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging social interaction and collaboration among students.
- Implement strategies for behavior management and support students in developing essential life skills.
- Work Days: Monday Through Thursday: 9:00am to 2:30pm (potential for extra tutoring hours)

**Qualifications**
- An undergrad degree is preferred, a Bachelor of Education degree will be considered an asset.
- Previous teaching experience or familiarity with educational methodologies is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or special education needs, is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, families, and colleagues.
- Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively as a team player.
- Must have the ability to be flexible when working with neurodiverse students.
- Must be comfortable working with students on math up to a grade 9 level.
- Must have a class 5 driver's license.
- A genuine passion for working with children with neurodiversity and a commitment to promoting inclusivity within the educational setting.
- Criminal Record check will be required upon hiring.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19,800.00-$31,680.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 22 per week

Work Location: In person
