Position will only be needed if there is sufficient enrollment. DLRT’s will report to the Principal of Secondary Summer School

**Position**:
**Required Teaching Qualifications**:

- A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
- A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
- Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
- Intermediate/Senior Qualifications
- Special Education Qualifications - minimum Spec. Ed. Part 1 (Spec. Ed. Part 2 or Specialist preferred)

**Position Criteria**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with students with multiple exceptionalities
- Confidence and skills using virtual tools to engage students
- Knowledge of the program accommodations students with special needs require
- Proven ability to facilitate differentiated instruction
- Ability to provide culturally responsive programming
- Demonstrated ability to work in online platforms such as EDSBY, Teams and LMS
- Ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders (teachers, parents) to support students
