The role of **Executive Chef** is a critical part of our management team, embodies creativity, flexibility and teamwork, and is crucial in authentically representing the Olive Branch brand and its values.

**What **you'll** do**:
**Kosher Menu Development**:

- Design and implement seasonal and innovative kosher menus that cater to our diverse customer base,
emphasizing fresh, locally sourced, and kosher-certified ingredients.
- Introduce and test new recipes, considering customer feedback, kosher dietary laws, and emerging food trends.
- Preparation instructions

**Kosher Compliance and Operations Management**:

- Initial kitchen setup for efficient workflow
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and strict adherence to kosher dietary
laws and food safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels, minimizing waste while ensuring adequate stock of kosher ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and kosher regulations in the kitchen and food preparation
areas.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Operations, Food Service, in the planning of ingredient requirements,
stock levels, and all other operational elements of the fresh and frozen prepared food categories.

**Leadership**:

- Collaborate as a member of the executive team to create and execute a fresh prepared food experience that
delivers exceptional results.
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment while
ensuring all staff are knowledgeable in kosher food preparation practices.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Working with the Kitchen Manager, develop and implement staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage during
peak hours and kosher observances.
- Respond “on call” to inquiries / issues from food preparation staff when not in-store
- Work with the store’s Director of Marketing to develop promotions and specials that drive traffic to the kosher
prepared foods section.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Proven experience as a Kosher Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a kosher kitchen, preferably within a
retail or grocery environment.
- Extensive knowledge of kosher dietary laws and certification processes is required.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Thorough understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kosher compliance standards.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours
