**Job Summary Both head cook Chef and pastry staff**:
1- We are transforming our established coffee shop into a bistro style café that offers fresh, flavorful dishes and creative desserts to complement our coffee program. We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef who can create a unique menu and concept, standardize recipes, and lead kitchen operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Expertise in Both Kitchen & Pastry Ability to develop a balanced menu including brunch, light mains, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
- Menu & Concept DevelopmentCreate a bistro-style concept that pairs well with specialty coffee.
- LeadershipTrain and manage kitchen staff, ensure consistency and quality.
- Operational KnowledgeRecipe costing, inventory control, and kitchen workflow planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and launch a seasonal bistro menu with savory and sweet items.
- Standardize recipes for consistency and cost control.
- Train kitchen team on preparation and plating standards.
- Work with management to align food concept with brand identity.
- Maintain food quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 3-5 years as a Head Chef or Executive Chef.
- Strong culinary background in brunch, light bistro dishes, and pastry.
- Experience in menu creation and costing.
- Creativity and passion for coffee-friendly cuisine.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a growing concept.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, including cash handling and processing payments.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cafe area, including dining tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while preparing food and serving customers.
**Skills**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with POS systems is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- A proactive attitude towards helping customers and enhancing their overall experience in the cafe.
