Warehouse Specialist

Position
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working individual in our warehouse. This person must be a positive team player with a passion to help people not only with their health through our line of magnesium products, but also to understand our company mission of helping to end global poverty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Valid forklift license (counterbalance or reach truck) recent 1-2 years forklift experience and perform the required folk lift inspection procedures
- Ability to take initiative and follow instructions under mínimal supervision
- Manage all logistics of inbound and outbound orders / shipments
- Responsible for loading and unloading trucks
- Assist in picking and packing orders
- Manage stock control through approved processes & procedures
- Warehouse housekeeping as required
- Liaise with shipping coordinators as required.
- Liaise with Warehouse and Distribution Team Leaders and organize packaged goods shipments
- Maintains a clean, neat, and safe work environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (*this is a requirement for this position)
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, strong work ethic, team player, driven and enthusiastic individual with professional demeanor
- Experience in Inventory Management Software would be an asset together with 3 - 5 years of warehousing and/or order picking experience
- Personable skills are necessary for this position, as well as integrity and accountability.
- Good understanding in warehouse space optimization with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of business Math in required
Working conditions:
- Warehouse environment.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs
- All required PPE must be worn while performing tasks
- CSA approved safety steel toe work boots
- Familiar with standard warehousing procedures and best practices to properly secure company assets and physical inventory
Pay: $21.00-$22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay
