**Some of what you will do**:
The Supply Chain Program Specialist will play an active role in supporting or executing the process improvement activities for Staples Canada and Professional by implementing national projects. Reporting to the Program Manager, this role is responsible for providing specific feedback to the Program Manager and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in the company. This role partners cross functionally to drive improvement both from a cost and customer service perspective. Works with the different functions within the company and 3PL’s/vendors to identify areas for improvement Educating and engaging team members on fundamental process improvement practices will be key to the Supply Chain Program Specialists success.

**Specifically, You Will**:

- Supports and executes supply chain and operational improvements by creating business plans, implementing national projects, leveraging best practices, etc..
- Supply Chain activities include transportation, inventory management, customer service, returns and warehousing activities
- Improve customer experience through improved warehouse throughput, optimized delivery services and high quality standards
- Develop strategic priorities and convert into quantitative and qualitative action plans
- Communicate risk and establish mitigation plans
- Create KPI dashboards/presentations and present to senior management team
- Works with the different functions within the company and 3PL to identify areas for improvement
- Conduct and lead regular kaizen events and shares best practices with peers and the Program Manager
- Build standard practices throughout the supply chain network to support operations
- Implements projects through a hands-on approach
- Plan the execution of projects, meet deadlines and provides updates to management
- Support or execute special projects for as required
- Monitor key indicators of operational excellence and prepare reports, in addition to acting as key point of contact for questions relating to operational excellence issues
- Provide ongoing analysis of implemented projects as needed to demonstrate their success

**Some of what you need**:

- Post secondary diploma
- Lean Green Belt or other process improvement designation an asset
- Hands on experience using Lean Tools-Value Stream mapping, Waste Identification, Problem Solving (PDCA), Kaizen, implementing 5S.
- Requires understanding of the relationship between improvement activities and performance measures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to successfully prioritize and manage large projects, meet deadlines and tasks.
- Ability to work different shifts including overnight.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment preferred
- 3+ years supervisory or change management
