**What **you’ll do**

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement and movement of production supplies, packaging materials and finished goods, as well as maintaining inventory levels of all supplies and goods at production facilities and warehouses throughout our network.

This involves immersing yourself in daily operations and managing the logistics involved with procuring and scheduling inbound shipments, forecasting and tracking order balances, and maintaining regular purchasing schedules to ensure the seamless movement and availability of supplies and finished goods. Essentially you will ensure things are where they are supposed to be when they are supposed to be.

As a key part of the Operations team, you will also play a significant role in improving our costs and supply chain reliability - helping us deliver the best possible value to our customers.

**Some specifics**
- Prepare and issue Supplier Purchase Orders in a consistent & timely manner
- Schedule and coordinate daily shipments of supplies, production parts, packaging materials and finished goods
- Maintain regular purchasing schedules and manage the procurement of packaging materials
- Determine and execute on optimal order quantities cognizant of lead times, economies of scale, storage costs / capacities, etc.
- Manage the timely and accurate preparation/solicitation of all customs and shipping documents for international inbound shipments
- Track production schedules, order balances, and inventory on hand/in transit and assist the Management team in quarterly/annual forecasting and production planning
- Supply regular updates to keep team members abreast of all supply chain related matters

**What you’ll bring**
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or a related business discipline
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management / Operations Management
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Hands-on experience with import-export processes, customs broker interaction, and liaising with warehouse operations staff required
- Advanced knowledge of international import/export practices
- Strong oral and written English communication and presentation skills
- Advanced Excel skills and previous experience with EDI & Order Management platform(s)
- Exceptional problem solving, analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and ability to learn and adapt to changing priorities
- Mature, logical, analytical and evidence-based decision-making style
