As a Financial Assistant in our Finance team, you will provide essential support in day-to-day financial and administrative tasks. Working closely with the Senior Accountant and Chief Financial Officer, you will help maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and assist with reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial operations while contributing to the overall success of the organization.

As a Finance Assistant in our growing organization, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations and overall financial health of Rock Solid Resources. You will work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, assist with budgeting and cash flow management, and contribute to process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both finance and accounting while being part of a dynamic, mining-focused workforce solutions company.

**Responsibilities**:
**Financial Analysis & Reporting**
- Assist with preparing financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including monitoring actual performance against targets.
- Compile data to support cash flow management and working capital planning.

**General Finance & Accounting Support**
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in QuickBooks.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger balances.
- Prepare and process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as required.
- Assist with invoicing, accounts receivable collections, and vendor payments.

**Compliance & Controls**
- Assist with year-end audit preparation.
- Help ensure internal controls and financial policies are followed consistently.

**Process Improvement & Collaboration**
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data.
- Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and reporting efficiency.

**Required skills & experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance**, Accounting, Economics, or a related field**.
- CPA designation or MBA are an asset
- 1-2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or administrative support role.
- Proficiency with **QuickBooks** and strong **Microsoft Excel** skills.
- Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and reporting.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a finance career.
