**An exciting opportunity awaits**:
We currently have an opportunity for an **Accounts Payable Administrator** to join our team in the **Steinbach** branch. The Accounts Payable Administrator seeks to support accounting operations by processing payments and reconciling daily transactions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Submit payment(s) to vendors by verifying and processing invoices
- Reconcile daily transactions, identifying discrepancies, and following-up with appropriate staff member when necessary
- Deliver a needs-based style of service according to SCU’s service delivery model
- Liaise with staff, management, and/or third parties for information sharing and/or exchange
- Respond to inquiries from staff/vendors and resolve questions and concerns wherever possible, referring more complex issues to the Director, Finance and/or Accounting Manager
- Actively participate in staff meetings, providing input when necessary
- Maintain open communication and cooperation with staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment and timely completion of requests
- Support colleagues to develop and maintain a strong team dynamic
- Work collaboratively to achieve departmental and organizational goals

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 Diploma, plus some additional courses (such as introductory accounting courses), plus up to one year of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Business acumen
- Software proficiency
