Program Supervisor

**The Program - Summit**
Summit is a group care program for youth between the ages of 13 and 17 years who have status with Children’s Services. Summit provides a competency-based treatment program for youth with complex needs. All program components are intentional, work to provide stability with the youth’s presenting issues, teach effective life and living skills, increase their natural support network and community connections, re-establish a positive family culture and prepare youth to transition home to family or alternate family settings such as kinship, foster care or YTA.

**The Position - Supervisor**

**Responsibilities**:
Supervise a team of staff members up to 10 individuals
Consultation and reporting to Children Services
Ensure all Accreditation standards are upkept and met
Completion and overseeing of documentation and case management
Complete scheduling to ensure program is properly staffed
Active member of the leadership team
Oversee and approve staff timesheets, and time-off
Supports group care on-call on a rotational basis
Attend all leadership meetings
Conduct staff meetings
Along with the program manager, ensure that the budget is reviewed and adhered to
Provide regular supervision of staff members
Provide support when needed to clients
Recruitment, staff performance evaluations and staff training as required by CAC guidelines and ensure all staff training are current
Oversee household health and safety standards and overall housekeeping duties

Monday - Friday 0830-1630 with on call rotations

- Strong supervisory communication skills
- Subject matter expert on child and youth care programs
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Supportive leader that encourages ongoing staff development
- Able to adapt to changing situations

- Able to provide effective feedback and supervision to staff

**Education and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in a Human Services related field
- Experience and demonstrated skills in supervising staff
- Experience working with young children affected by trauma
- Experience working with Children’s Services is considered an asset.
- CPR and first aid certification

**Other Qualifications**
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (_Class 5 GDL will not be accepted_)
- A clean driver’s abstract containing not more than two (2) minor offences or one (1) major offence
- Police Record Check with Vulnerable sector check (_within six (6) months_)
- Child Intervention Check (_within one (1) year_)
