**LOCATION**: Saskatoon
**ACCOUNTABLE TO**: ELCC Family Supports Manager
**Brief Overview**:
The eligible applicant for Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Family Camp Support Administrator will assist the Family Camp Coordinator in ensuring family camps are delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Activity planning** - organize, facilitate, and administer cultural and land-based family friendly activities, comfortable and knowledgeable in nature/outdoors in all seasons.
- ** Communication** - effectively communicate orally and/or in written format with citizens and educators, give and receive direction within the team, manage conflicts that may arise at or around camps.
**Other Responsibilities**:
- Assist Métis citizens with Family Camps programs and services.
- Attend program camps, and other early learning events which may require travel throughout the province and extended hours of work.
- Support recruitment of facilitators, land-based teachers, Elders, and Knowledge Carriers who are interested in participating in Family Camps program activities.
- Engage, develop, and maintain strong relationships with Métis Citizens, MN-S staff, ELCC partners.
- Gather project statistics.
- Fulfill all other responsibilities as determined by the Family Camp Coordinator and ELCC Family Supports Manager.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Advanced communications skills; both oral and written.
- Ability to problem-solve, demonstrate good judgement, and make decisions independently within set processes and procedures.
- Ability to work with a high level of tact and discretion.
- Knowledge of outdoors, nature, and land-based programming would be an asset.
- Ability to give and receive effective feedback.
- Ability to work effectively both independently as well as in a team environment.
- Well-developed knowledge of program administration, budgeting/financial management, program planning, and coordinating.
- Detail and results-oriented skills and practices.
- Knowledge in Métis and/or Indigenous culture would be considered an asset.
- Maintain an effective, confidential, and accountable filing system.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Diploma and/or certificate in Business or Office Administration.
- 1-2 years experience working in an administrative role.
- Experience in planning and implementing recreational activities.
- Experience working with Metis children and families would be an asset.
- A combination of education and work experience related to the job duties will be considered.
**Additional requirements**:
- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access reliable transportation
- Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector
