**The Opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity to join our company in a newly created and uniquely positioned role Reporting directly into our HR Manager, but working collaboratively across the entire company, our **Recruiter** **& Office Coordinator **(or Employee Experience Coordinator) will be the main point of contact and have ownership over general office management, while also providing dedicated support to the HR function, and specifically in full-cycle recruitment. This role is well-suited for someone with previous office coordination or administrative experience, and who is an early
- career HR professional with dedicated experience in talent sourcing. If you are extremely organized, resourceful, have a focus on people and culture, and looking to gain or deepen your exposure in the technology and/or start-up space, this could be the role for you

**This position will work 3-4 days/week onsite at our office in Liberty Village, Toronto, but have the ability to work virtually as well.**

**Duties and Responsibilities **_... i.e. where you can make an impact_**
- Driving recruitment and onboarding efforts; post roles, review job applicants, conduct initial phone screens, schedule and participate in interviews, book orientation sessions and assist with collection of new hire documentation, etc
- Partner with the HR Manager to develop our recruitment processes and methods of outreach; finding creative ways to use traditional recruiting tools (i.e. LinkedIn), while exploring new approaches to talent engagement
- Contribute to messaging on various social media platforms, as related to culture promotion and recruitment efforts
- Perform tasks related to day-to-day office management, including; ongoing daily activities (monitoring kitchen and office supplies, monitoring mail and deliveries, ensuring a clean office environment), acting as liaison between building management and external service providers, managing relationships with vendors and service providers for office environment equipment and services, etc
- Lead the coordination of monthly and seasonal office events (i.e. Town Halls) and celebrations
- Ensure up-to-date and accurate employee information and documentation within company HRIS (BambooHR)
- Provide general administrative support, as well as contributing fresh ideas, to a developing HR department
- Partner closely with the IT Manager; addressing tier I support-level questions, as needed, managing technical requirements of on/offboarding as well as various office-related functions, etc..
- Positively contribute to our company culture; approaching tasks with a growth mindset, in the spirit of collaboration, while celebrating new learnings and all wins - both big and small
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Skills**
- ~1-2 years experience in full-cycle recruitment (experience in recruiting Developers and Engineers, a solid bonus)
- ~1-2 years experience in an administrative, and/or office management environment
- Degree or diploma, specifically within HR, considered an asset (actively pursuing CHRP designation considered a definite bonus)
- Previous work experience in an HR department, and with recruitment experience (previous experience recruiting for technical or engineering positions, a strong asset)
- Tech-savvy and proficient in MS Office and G Suite
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- A high-degree of tact and professionalism, as well as demonstrated experience managing confidential and sensitive information
- Organized and comfortable handling multiple requests - navigating changing priorities without missing a beat
- Resourceful when given complex tasks, paired with a “_Can Do”_ mentality
- Must be open to in-office work and able to visit our office 3-4 days/weekly, combined with experience working in a remote or hybrid workplace
