**Position Summary**:
As an integral member of the OR-MDR team the OR MDR Integration Coordinator will ensure a smooth workflow with resources put in place at SMGH such as Cerner, MDR and Infor. The OR/MDR Integration Coordinator provides system maintenance and support as well as sustaining updates and building a strong partnership between the OR and MDR. The role covers updating and maintaining bin locations for instruments, write up documentation, item management (activate/inactivate) for instruments, system optimization and instrument procurement, instrument set maintenance, sending and receiving repairs and loaners. This role is a support for both the OR and MDR as well as clinical departments who have items reprocessed by MDR. The role bridges the gaps between clinical departments and MDR to ensure a productive and positive working environment. The OR/MDR Integration Coordinator is also a resource during Accreditation cycles and other tours/opportunities to exchange information with other organizations.

**Position Requirements**:

- **Successful Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent**:

- **Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Course completed within 5 years though the Ontario Association or Equivalent**:

- **Minimum five (5) years’ experience in all areas of sterile processing of medical devices/equipment.**:

- **Demonstrates skills to support the OR and MDR**:

- **Previous experience in sterile processing of medical devices and equipment.**:

- **Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) to act as a liaison with the operating room Resource Nurses and Assistant Manager.**:

- **Successfully able to perform their function in accordance with prescribed standards that focuses on the priority of People Safety and the delivery of the highest standard of Quality Care.**:

- **Demonstrate the physical and mental capabilities necessary for proper and efficient performance of the essential duties of the position**

**Preferred Requirements**:

- **Maintains an understanding of and adheres to Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures, Handles and transports sterile supplies.**
