Kamloops, Canada Civil Edge construction Full time

**Looking for skilled labourer responsible for general labour duties required on active construction projects for a civil excavation company. Ensuring all work tasks are preformed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety standards.**

**This position is based in Kamloops and surrounding areas.**

**Working Conditions**
- **40-hour work week**
- **Overtime as required**
- **Working outdoors in hot and cold conditions**
- **Working around moving heavy machinery, noise, and dust**
- **Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls**

**Responsibilities**
- **Ensure safe operation of equipment and safety for team members**
- **General housekeeping**
- **Load and unload materials and equipment as needed**
- **Assist heavy equipment operators, with equipment attachments, signal operators to guide them in moving, and assist in other activities**
- **Work with hand tools, small engine equipment in a safe and competent manner**
- **Use shovels, rakes and other equipment in various situations on construction site**
- **Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis**
- **Perform activities as directed**

**Requirements**:

- **High school diploma**
- **Experience as a labourer**
- **Experience operating small equipment ie. Skidsteer, packer**
- **General construction safety knowledge**
- **Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions**
- **Positive attitude**
- **Stand or walk for long periods of time**
- **Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50lbs**
- **Climb up and down ladders and other objects**

Specializing in shallow utility installation, detailed foundation excavation and agricultural excavating including culverts, ponds, roads and retaining walls. We have proudly provided services to large scale multifamily residential builds and individual homeowners across BC and Alberta.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $36,986.00-$69,476.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Ability to Commute:

- Kamloops, BC (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Kamloops, BC: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
