**What you'll do**:

**The responsibilities of this position include**:

- Ensuring that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relations and deliver excellent customer service.
- Managing group blocks and meeting space as assigned.
- Reviewing sales contracts, as well as other important information, i.e., room block, cut-off date, special concessions and attrition clauses and validate with client
- Monitoring and managing room blocks according to contract utilizing group history reports and information given by clients to maximize hotel revenue, adjusting as necessary
- Monitoring and managing program deadline dates and working with client to maximize hotel revenues.
- Adhering to all standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinating and communicating event details both verbally and in writing to the customer during the process.
- Producing and distributing event orders and group resume information and communicate any changes updating information to hotel departments.
- Verifying sleeping room and suite block, special room concessions and rates as outlined in contract with group reservations agents, as well as updating group reservations agents with any changes.
- Ensuring billing accuracy including verification of credit information submitted and provide estimates in advance.
- Conducting Pre/Post-Convention meetings and review bill with client.
- Interacting with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service.
- Participating in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process as necessary.
- Responsible for book catering leads within events parameters.
- Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage / Events
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in events.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work with mínimal direct supervision.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage products, proper preparation and presentation of food and beverage items.
- Extensive knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audio-visual and any other pertinent details as they relate to function room set-up.
- Knowledge of hotel and competitive market.
- Knowledge of CITY is an asset.
