**Job Summary**:
The Digital Print Operator will report to the Digital Solutions Manager. They will be responsible for operating the HP/Indigo digital press to complete customized copy projects in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with Company quality standards and procedures. The Operator coordinates their workload schedule to meet client deadline requirements while achieving optimum productivity. They perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure ideal output.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate with Production teams to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
- Troubleshoot press problems and resolve issues in collaboration with the Production and Technology Managers.
- Act as a resource to other team members to address inquires, problems or challenges with projects.
- Read and examine instructions from the job docket/ticket and determine quantities to be printed, productions times, stock specification and colours. Consult with the Manager, Sales or Client Service staff if instructions are vague or require further clarification prior to running the job.
- Program and set up press jobs for printing.
- Operate high resolution colour digital presses and proprietary imaging equipment to run customized job in accordance with operating instructions and client specifications.
- Monitor quality of job output throughout the process to ensure correctness and image quality. Continually inspect jobs coming off equipment for completeness, accuracy and defects.
- Unload machine and stack materials on table or pallets.
- Monitor inventory in work area to ensure it is adequate and can meet production requirements for each job. Report any issues with inventory to the Manager.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures, and update maintenance logs. Ensure work area is tidy and free of hazards.
- Inform supervisor of equipment problems and coordinate with vendors for repair of equipment as needed.
- Perform routine computer maintenance, including software updates and utility programs.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating HP Indigo digital presses (HP Indigo 10000, 12000, 100000 S4 (Large Format)) or equivalent devices is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in print industry considered an asset.
- Experience handling digital files.
- Mechanically inclined and deadline-oriented.
- Technically inclined to allow the completion of maintenance and repair
- Computer proficiency in both Mac & PC platforms
- Ability to set-up and operate digital printing devices using provided documentation
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management. Can perform multiple tasks efficiently to achieve deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
