**QSP Geographics Inc. (QSP)** is a fast-growing geospatial technology company that provides a range of industry-leading solutions in disciplines that include GIS services, CAD drafting, survey, engineering, and asset management services. We presently have over 125 employees with offices in Toronto and Ottawa.

To support QSP’s growth, we are currently seeking a Utility Design Locator / Damage Prevention Technician in Ottawa for full time employment.
- Public and Private locate experience would be considered an asset.
- Experience with Trimble GPS, Radio Detection and Vivax equipment would be considered an asset.
- GPS field collection and/or survey experience would be considered an asset. Training to be provided.
- Minimum Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field with SUE Locating, DTP certification, Survey/GPS, GIS, Engineering Technology or Technical training.
- Occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable with working outside in all weather and environmental conditions.
- Have a valid ‘G’ class Driver’s license and a clean three (3) year Drivers Abstract and Criminal Background Check as this position includes a vehicle for business purposes only (Corporate gas card included).
- Maintain conditions (safety and cleanliness) of company vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle conditions for the work crew (i.e., checking/logging tire pressure, checking fluids (oil, coolant, windshield washer)
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per company policies
- Adhere to company Health & Safety Policies
- Ensuring all equipment required for the work crew is in proper working order and loaded into the work vehicles prior to the work for the day
- Work overtime, nights, weekends and willing to travel as required.

- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are highly regarded.
- A good understanding and command of the English language.
- Ability to work independently or part of a larger team environment.
