Inside Sales Representative

The purpose of this position is to engage with customers, fostering and maintaining relationships through tasks such as providing price quotes and addressing product-related inquiries. This ultimately leads to heightened customer satisfaction and fosters effective collaboration with various departments within the company, including shipping, production, the lab and quality. Additionally, this role will take the lead in managing the sample distribution process.
**The following are essential job functions.**
**Inside Sales / Customer Service**
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers through regular communication by understanding customer needs, addressing inquiries, and providing support throughout the sales process.
- Identify and qualify leads through research, cold calling, and networking, understanding the microbial industry landscape, staying updated on industry trends, and identifying potential customers who may benefit from the company's products or services.
- Provide pricing quotations for product offerings using price list and assist with more complex quotations.
- Register quotes in quotation log, and maintains log for all sales team
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities using Salesforce and provide regular reports to management on sales performance, key metrics, and progress towards goals.
- Send out marketing materials, such as Product Data Sheets
- Communicates with CSR at HQ for any order information
- Provide order status and shipping information to customers.
- Support the sales order process from receipt to fulfillment, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders. Following up with customers to confirm order details, provide shipment tracking information, and address any post-sale issues or concerns.
- Qualify and follow up with leads received by website or phone and provide sales leads to sales representatives and/or distributors.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team, working closely with other departments such as marketing, sales, product development, and customer support to coordinate sales activities and ensure a seamless customer experience, providing feedback to internal teams based on customer interactions.
- Execute the sample process, completing sample request forms, updating the sample log, shipping the packaged samples, and following up on samples with customer.
- Assist Sales Director in keeping the price list current.
- Administer Customer Satisfaction surveys on yearly basis
- Coordinate trade show preparation and oversee post-show follow-up initiatives
**Secondary job accountabilities**
- Greet visitors, answer incoming calls.
- Provide administrative support to shipping function.
- Assist Lab Manager with maintaining PDIFs.
- Inputs supplier price lists into ERP system
- Assist Production Manager and Office Manager in updating cost information.
- Other related duties as assigned.
**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**
**Minimum Education**: Minimum college degree required, with bachelors degree desired. Proficiency in French, with excellent English language skills, is required.
**Minimum Experience**: 1-2 years’ experience in customer relations or service, in a technical or scientific work environment required; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Pay: $50,000.00-$54,000.00 per year
