**About the Role**:
As an Estimator you will work closely with the Project Managers, to bid and secure new jobs and ensure they remain on budget throughout the construction process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify and quantify cost factors such as labour, material and time requirements and prepares estimate for each project.
- Estimate project costs and submit tenders.
- Prepare, review, and follow up of estimates and quotations and change orders.
- Project cost analysis.
- Prepare tender packages and identify any associated risks.
- Solicit pricing, and analyze costs associated with project.
- Complete full quantity take-off and pricing of all labour, equipment, and materials.
- Work closely with Project Managers to manage and co-ordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.
- Identify and evaluate project changes, resolves discrepancies and collecting additional information.
- Assist Project Managers in turnover from the transition of bid through to award including execution.

**Employment Requirements**
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
- Dedicated, well organized with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
- Proven experience in either carpentry, architecture, or engineering fields. (a combination of academic and/or practical experience will be accepted).
- Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislations.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Sage 100 and Procore would be a strong asset.
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent resources, planning and time management skills.
- Keen eye for detail.
